Is this safe for my pet's skin?

Absolutely. The inside of the teeth are designed to slice through tough mats, but the outer edges that actually touch your pet's skin are fully rounded and smooth. It will comfortably massage them without scratching or irritating their skin.

Does this work for short-haired pets?

This rake is specifically designed for medium to long-haired pets, and those with dense double coats (like Golden Retrievers, Huskies, or Maine Coon cats). If your pet has a very short, single coat, our gentle pet grooming gloves might be a better fit.
